Snead Island, FL on the Manatee River
Client Goal— Create a river front oasis on their large 1+ acre lot. They wanted a home “built to last” and for low maintenance to accommodate their active travel lifestyle
Design Challenge— Elevate the home for the coastal flood zone and save a grand oak that was just beyond the footprint. The client’s wanted a modern home built to withstand the coastal environment yet look like it was built in 1925.
Signature Design Detail— Large stemwall disguised as brick piers with vented crawl space in addition to a septic system + drain field greenscaped into a beautiful patio encapsulated in concrete retaining wall clad with rip rap.
Design Partners— Design Lines/Bruce Williams Homes + Client personally handling Interior Design
